Taking stock as time passes, it’s hard to not reflect on ones personal and professional achievements. Working in a demanding industry for over ten years, it was hard to take quality time off and holidays were too few and far between. Those trips I did take ended up over scheduled, group tours with little me time to sit and soak it all in.
I started feeling like a passenger, each day seemed like the day before as life was passing by and I needed to take control of my journey. In fact embark on a new one, seek out new experiences in the pursuit of broader horizons.
No time like the present.. with a departure date booked, I’ve got less than eight weeks to tell the loved ones, resign from work, sell the car, place a whole bunch of furniture on eBay and what ever is left place in storage.
To keep connected with those at home and friends abroad, I’ll try my hand at some blogging along the way. wegothisway.com will share the journey, my companion Akito and I are about to embark on.
